How does it work?

If you want to purchase a product or service in an online store, select the Klix Pay Later payment method. If you are in an in-person store, inform the cashier that you would like to pay using Klix Pay Later and receive a link to the loan application via SMS or email.

How and when do I make my monthly Klix payment?

Information on how to repay your loan is included in the agreement which was sent to your email address when you signed the agreement.

The agreement includes the following information:

  • monthly payment amount and term;
  • the account number to which payments should be made;
  • the date of the first payment;
  • the date of the final payment;
  • the loan repayment account.

The payments you have made, the repayment account number, and your repayment schedule can also be viewed on our website under My Applications, by logging in with Smart-ID or e-Paraksts.

What is a Klix Free product?

A Klix Free number indicates the number of months included in the loan for which the loan can be repaid without interest or any commission fees.

Klix Free 3 example:

Loan amount 300 EUR. When the loan is repaid in full within 3 months of the loan being issued, the loan rate is 0 %, APR 0 %, and the total sum to be repaid by the customer is 300 EUR.

How do I receive a Klix loan offer?

To receive an offer, select Klix Pay Later as the payment method when purchasing a product, and fill in the application form.

How can I partially repay my Klix loan before term?

To partially repay your loan before it is due, you need to:

  • submit an electronically verified or physically signed letter;
  • pay the amount detailed in the letter into your loan repayment account.

You can submit the letter:

  • in person at any Citadele branch
  • through the Citadele online bank, if you have access to this service;
  • by emailing info@citadele.lv In this case, your letter will have to be signed using a secure electronic signature.

Submitting a letter through the online bank

After logging in to the online bank, go to Loans and Leasing, and under the loan you wish to repay early, select: Apply Agreement Amendments, and fill in the necessary fields.

Submitting a letter by email

To verify your letter using eParaksts:

  • write your letter, including your name, surname, personal code, loan agreement number and the purpose of your letter;
  • go to eparaksts.lv and upload the letter;
  • sign the letter using e-Paraksts and email it to info@citadele.lv.

To verify your letter using SMART ID QES:

  • write your letter, including your name, surname, personal code, loan agreement number and the purpose of your letter;
  • go to https://www.dokobit.com/, register for free, and upload the letter;
  • sign the letter using SMART ID QES and email it to info@citadele.lv.

What should I do if there is money left over in my Klix loan repayment account?

Sometimes, after a loan is repaid, a balance remains in the loan repayment account. If more money has been transferred to your loan repayment account than is needed to repay your loan, you need to fill in an application for the return of money transferred to cover a loan. 

You should include the account to which you would like the money to be transferred in your application.

You can fill in and submit the form.

  • in person at a Citadele branch;
  • through the Citadele online bank;
  • by email at info@citadele.lv (in this case, you must sign the application with a secure electronic signature).

Will I receive information about my monthly Klix loan repayments by email?

No, invoices for your monthly payments will not be sent to your email address, but you can view them on our website under My Applications by logging in with Smart-ID or e-Paraksts.

What happens if I miss a monthly payment for my Klix loan?

Remember that a penalty fee applies for each day you miss.

If you wish to change the monthly payment date stipulated in your agreement, submit a letter requesting your agreement to be amended, including your preferred new monthly payment date.

Before you send your letter to info@citadele.lv, ensure that there is 25 EUR in your loan repayment account to cover the agreement amendment fee.

What is the maximum Klix loan amount?

The maximum sum for the more expensive product categories is 15 000 EUR, but, if after analysing your borrowing ability, the maximum amount is not available, you can cover part of the purchase with your own funds as a deposit.

Why is the Klix loan term longer than the interest-free period (Klix Free)?

If you choose one of our Klix Free products, such as Free 6, you have the option of repaying the entire loan in 6 months without paying interest. If you repay the loan in full within the interest-free period, it is automatically closed.

The loan term is longer, giving you the opportunity to successfully cover your loan if you are unable to do so within the interest-free period.

The last page of the loan agreement includes an example on how much to make in monthly payments in order to cover the loan within the interest-free period.

What do I do if I entered the incorrect phone number or email address while applying for a Klix loan?

Send a free-form, electronically-signed letter which includes the correct information to info@citadele.lv or submit it in person at any Customer Service Centre.

What do I do if I want to return a product I purchased using a Klix loan?

If, for any reason, you wish to return a product you purchased, you must inform the retailer. If the retailer agrees to annul the agreement, the relevant employee will inform the bank of the changes and return the money. After the money is returned, the loan will be automatically cancelled within one business day (or, if the order is only partially cancelled, your loan will be partially repaid). 

How does the full/partial refund process work if I return the goods to the retailer?

If the product does not match its description, is damaged, or there is another situation for which you need to cancel the purchase and return the product, contact the retailer. The retailer will inform the bank of the full or partial refund, and the loan will be cancelled (or repaid in part) once the retailer has transferred the money to the loan repayment account. This process could take up to 14 days.

Can I reinstate my Klix loan if I accidentally transfer more money than I planned to my repayment account and my loan is repaid in full?

No, this is not possible.

Can I return part of a purchase I made using a Klix loan?

Yes, a partial return is possible, but you must contact the retailer. The retailer will inform the bank of a partial refund, transfer the funds to the bank, and your loan principal will be reduced by this amount. You will be able to see your new repayment schedule on the Citadele website under My Applications
