Can I remotely submit the inheritance certificate to the Bank?

Yes, if you have an electronic signature and the inheritance certificate has been electronically signed by a notary, you can submit the inheritance certificate to the Bank remotely. However, please note that the Bank only accepts inheritance certificates issued in the Republic of Latvia and signed by a notary with a secure electronic signature. 

If the total inheritance amount exceeds 10,000 EUR, heirs are requested to visit Citadele bank branches in person to receive the inheritance. Cash transactions in EUR are handled only at the “Citadele” branch, and a visit must be scheduled at least one working day in advance.
