State-guaranteed compensation

Information on Notarized Authorization Documents for Legal Entities

To receive guaranteed compensation, a representative of a legal entity depositor, as indicated on the list provided by the Bank of Latvia, may issue a notarized power of attorney to any third party. If the depositor is a legal entity, the power of attorney is issued on behalf of that legal entity. This third party can then visit the bank and complete the identification process according to the previously mentioned procedure.

The bank's legal department will assess the validity of the authorization document issued by the depositor for its intended purpose. This assessment will follow a consistent approach, guided by applicable laws and regulations, with each case reviewed individually. As a result, the authorized person may need to contact Bank of Latvia to request relevant changes to the information listed in the depositor registry.
