3. Depositing cash at an ATM

Depositing cash at an ATM

To pay cash into an ATM, bear in mind the information shown in picture 1. After entering your PIN code in the ATM, select Deposit Cash.

Enter the banknotes into the ATM as shown in the picture.

The ATM will display how much has been submitted and in what denominations. You must then decide what to do with the banknotes you have deposited.

The ATM will complete the actions you selected and show them on the screen.

2. ATM doesn't accept a banknote

What to do if an ATM won’t accept a banknote?

If a banknote is damaged, wrinkled or dirty, an ATM may reject it and return it to you.
In this case, you could try smoothing out the wrinkled banknote and reenter it into the ATM.
If the ATM still does not accept it, visit the Bank of Latvia and exchange them.
